All In A Days Work

Olivia has been so excited having FIVE days of no school and mommy not going to work! So today we had a full day planned. Started the day making cookies. We were making cookies for the fire fighters. We pass by a fire station almost every day and they came to our house twice last winter because of carbon monoxide. So this year we were telling Olivia about being thankful for things and we suggested that we make cookies for the fire fighters. Her eyes lit up big. She was so excited to go to the station! While decorating the cookies she said to me that we needed to make cookies for Will and Lydia. So I said we could and I asked why we needed to. She quickly responded, "because I'm thankful for their friendship." I thought that was so cute!
Olivia had the day full of things to do. While the cookies baked we were to play Candy Land.
While we waited for the cookies to cool so we could ice them she had to play the computer!
Finally we were able to make the icing!
After the decorating she changed clothes so we could go deliver the cookies. While changing she asked if she could lick the bowl! For a kid that doesn't like anything I said sure thinking she wouldn't like it...well...I was completely wrong.
She totally got into eating the icing and LOVED it. I had to finally take it away from her!

The fire fighters took us around the house and let us see the trucks! That made Olivia's day!
They even let her sit in the drivers seat!
We ended the night driving around looking at Christmas lights. She talked non-stop while we were driving around. She had a descriptive word for every light display we saw. Oh to be 4 again!

Getting Ready For Christmas

Olivia has waiting all year for this day! She could hardly wait to get there. Once we did she just stood there looking at him. Santa would ask a question and she would nod her head and smile. Santa that was funny.
We were finally able to get her to turn around so I could take a good picture.
Dad is helping Olivia learn how to shoot a bow and arrow.
Not too bad for a self timer picture!
We tried to teach her checkers but she would rather make a pattern out of the pieces.

Indiana: Part 2

We enjoyed an afternoon at a new children's museum in Indiana. We enjoyed having my aunt with us!

Olivia thought this was the coolest! She is getting ready to make a bubble and stand inside of it!
