Baby and House Update

We think everyone knows now. Brad and I are expecting a baby July 3, 2006!! We are very excited. This picture was taken Monday, Nov. 27 at 8 1/2 weeks. The baby at that time was 1 inch and had a very strong heart beat! Brad and I were able to see and hear the heart beat. That was really exciting for us. Our next appointment is Dec. 28th. Last Friday, Brad and I bought a house. Brad has been working very hard to get it ready for us to move in. Brad and anyone that wants to help will be painting all the walls and ceilings then we will have new carpet installed. We have until Feb. 15 to be out of our apartment. So that is nice.

Sorry For The Delay

I guess it's been a little while since we have posted. Sorry. We have been very busy. Brad has been helping me at the store. In the last three weeks we have put carpet in some parts of the store and have painted another section of the floor. We put new racks together that I use to display the footwear. Thanks Brad for all your help!!!

When Brad isn't helping me at the store he is working on his new model train that he is building. It looks really cool. I will try to post a picture of it...it is far from being done so keep checking for updates.

Tonight we are going to Kearny, MO to see Palmetto State Quartet. We have been looking forward to this for a long time. The Goering's and the Waters' will also be there and we are all going out for dinner afterwards.

We had a great relaxing weekend. It ended on Sunday by going to hear Journey Bound Quartet sing. We had a great evening listening to them sing. They invited Brad to play the piano during the intermission. Have a great week!

Fishing Trip

Brad spent the weekend with my dad fishing at Truman Lake in MO. The weather held out for them. It rained at night and a little bit in the morning but they sure did catch fish. Tonight we are going to Lee's Summit, MO to hear Journey Bound Quartet. The bass singer of this group is the dad of Will, who sang bass for The Journeymen Quartet.

Back Home!

Well...we made it. Wednesday night we spent the evening with my Aunt Paulette and Uncle Bob. They took us out for a great dinner. When we finished dinner Brad and Bob went to auto stores to find something Bob needed for a truck he is fixing up. Once we all got back to Bob's house we ate some more and played a game.

Thursday morning we got up and drove to Franklin, IN where my grandma lives. We had a great visit with her and ate lunch with her. After lunch we drove up to Lebanon, IN to see Little A and his family. Little A's mom made a fabulous dinner and dessert! The men listened to a lot of Southern Gospel music before Brad, Little A and his brother Brent went up to their church and played music for a little while..(where was the camera????). They sure had a fun time.

Friday morning we got up and drove to Louisville, KY to eat lunch. Stacey and Dana Murphy and their boys, Michael and Noah Mardis, Stacey's Parents, his Me-Ma, and his sister, and Tom and his daughter were all there for lunch. It was great to be able to see everyone!!

After lunch we drove up to Marengo, IN to see Brad's grandparents and dad. We had a very nice visit with everyone. We also got to have a little farm life while we were there! Brad's dad took us out for a little ride....

Brad's dad bought the Amish Carriage. After dinner he took both of us for a ride. This carriage has battery operated lights and turn signals. It also has a hydrolic brake!!!

Brad's Grandparents

Brad used to play in this building. While on this trip he decided he wanted to go back in there and see what was left. He had to dig his way in because his dads saw mill had barried the door. After he was in he found his 20 year old electric train, an old BB Gun, some knives, and more. His dad and brother are watching him dig in...

Friday evening we spent the night with Brad's mom. Saturday morning we went to his moms family reunion. It was great meeting all his family and putting faces to names. The weather was just perfect for reunion. It was cool, not humid, and the facility was great!!

Time with the Murphy's

We had a great few days with the Murphy's. Stacey, Dana and the boys drove in from Sheperdsville, KY. They were here for a few days and now they are in Iowa for a few days before heading home. We had a great time catching up and sharing stories/memories. It was so fun to have our first visitors!! We all spent one day at Union Station and Crown Center.

Wednesday night my parents had The Waters', The Goering's, The Murphy's and Brad and I over for dinner. Mom and Dad fixed a great HUGE dinner. After dinner we watched some old Southern Gospels Videos and had a lot of good laughs. We are leaving tonight to drive to Iowa to meet up with the Murphy's and the Van Wyngarden's to attend The Oak Ridge Boys concert. We are looking forward to another great night with friends!
