Merry Christmas

We had my families Christmas last night at my parents house. What fun we had. We all went out to dinner and then came home to open gifts. We had a special visitor in the middle of the gifts...who could it have been?

Olivia did great. She loved all the activity and loved sitting on Santa lap. She played with his beard and pulled it a few times. Sorry about that Santa...we'll work on that for next year!

5 Months

Week of Sickness

Wow, I am glad this week is almost over. I started with bad allergies last week that led to a sinus infection. This week Olivia came down with the croup. I have never experienced such a thing with a baby. The doctor said it will get worse before it gets better...she wasn't kidding!!! Olivia has slept in her car seat all week for naps and night time. I feel so bad letting her sleep there but she doesn't stay asleep laying down because she can't breathe. Yesterday afternoon you could tell she was really starting to feel better. Maybe by tomorrow we will be 100%.

We are in the middle of getting an ice storm here. We had some snow on Thursday. A little drizzle yesterday and today. I guess tonight into tomorrow is suppose to be pretty bad.

Olivia's Aunt Kelly and her cousins, Isabelle and John Michael, are going to babysit tonight so that Brad and I can go out for dinner!!! We are really looking forward to it...I just hope the weather holds out till we get home.

Olivia turns 5 months tomorrow!!! So be watching for new pictures on here soon.

Olivia's Dedication

On Nov. 25th Olivia got dedicated at church. She did great. The pastor wanted to hold her during the dedication so instead of crying she decided to stick her togue out and blow bubbles at him and in the microphone. That got everyone laughing in the congregation! We have it on video so we will try to post that soon. I only have this one picture so far. After the dedication we all went back to my parents for a big lunch. We had a lot of fun in the basement taking pictures of Olivia and her two cousins. Here are just a few of the pics we took.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We are spending the entire day and night at my parents house today! Olivia, my mom and I have been baking desserts all day. We took a time out to hit the sales at K-Mart and CVS! Yes, they were open! Brad and my dad have been working all day building a new cash register stand for work. We all took a break for a huge lunch and we will take a break a little later for a small dinner.

Frances Needs Our Prayers

Frances is a 6th grader and a very special person to me. She has just found out that there is a tumor at the base of her brain that is about the size of a M & M. Her parents and her will be leaving next week for Boston where she will under go surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery will be Monday, Nov. 26th. Please come along side of us as we pray for Frances and her family. Brad and I will be staying with her siblings during this time. The Last Few Weeks Plus 4 Month Pictures

Where has the time gone? We have no idea. We have been very busy getting ready for the fall and Christmas season. Yes, we have our tree up but it's not decorated yet...maybe this week that will happen. We love the holidays around here.

A few weeks ago Olivia and I had the opportunity to babysit Lincoln, who is a week older than Olivia. We had a lot of fun playing.

Olivia is going to be dedicated on Nov. 25th at 11 a.m. at Colonial Presbyterian Church (Wornall Campus). You are welcome to attend service if you would like.

Brad has been busy making a compost pile and working hard on his model train. We will take pictures of the train soon to post on here soon.

Olivia is doing great. She is now 4 months old!!! She is laughing a lot and growing so fast. She enjoys playing "cat and dog" with her daddy. That always makes her giggle. She lights up when daddy walks in the room. She goes on Tuesday to the doctor for her 4 month check up and shots! We are curious to see how tall she is now.

3 Month Pictures

3 Months

Where does the time go? She is now 3 1/2 months old! I will post pictures this week. Olivia is rolling over, grabbing toys, and eating rice cereal now! Boy does she like that!

Her cousin Isabelle and her Aunt Kelly babysat last Saturday so we could both work. Take a look at their website...http://theredfordfamily.blogspot.com...I think they had fun!

Last night we went to the PBR (Professional Bull Riding). Olivia did great. She ate and slept the entire time. We only saw one rider get his face stepped on. That was the only major accident.

Lincoln and Olivia

Mike, Adrienne and Lincoln Goering came over for dinner last week. Olivia and Lincoln loved playing together!! Lincoln is exactly one week older.

Update on Olivia

Brad and Olivia loved watching the National Quartet Convention on the internet! Olivia really likes the sound of quartet singing. We can turn on a CD of a quartet singing and that will usually settle her down if she is upset.Olivia is beginging to roll to her side in an attempt to roll over!! We can't believe it.

Olivia and I have been going to the mall every morning to walk. She loves riding in the stroller. This week my nephew, John Michael, and my mom joined us one day. Olivia loves John Michael!! He can always make her laugh. They both got to ride the Merry Go Round for the first time. I got the joy of going twice....I didn't feel so good after that. I won't be doing that again!

Brad put is hat on Olivia last night. She isn't sure what to think about that.

2 Months Old!

We still can't believe that Olivia is two months old. Where did the time go. Olivia has done a lot in her first two months of life. Just last night she has found the tv interesting. We have these Baby Einstien videos that she loves watching.
