Sledding Time

Last year Olivia wouldn't even touch the snow.  This year is a different story.  She is loving the snow.  We are on our second day of sledding and playing in the snow.  Whenever we mention snow or sledding she gets excited and says "yeah, cool" while clapping.  Brad also helped Olivia's cousins build an igloo and a brick wall!  They were pretty excited about that.  After all the kids went inside...then Brad went sledding down the middle of the street!!!

Welcome Home

After our travel to Indiana...this is what we came home to.  We parked on the street and Brad walked up to the house to start shoveling.  We couldn't get in the driveway without shoveling.  So, Brad made a path from the street to the house so we could get our luggage in.  It's been a long time since I've seen this much snow in KC.

Christmas Continues

My parents, my sister and my family headed off to Indiana to be with my dads mom for Christmas.
Brad, Grandma Clare, Olivia and I

Olivia and her two cousins got more gifts at Great Grandma house.  Olivia received a new set of Pink Cowboy Boots and a new baby doll.  Olivia has never had cowboy boots and she absolutely loved them.  It was hilarious watching her figure out how to walk in them.  The new baby cries, giggles, takes a pacifier, closes her eyes and more.  Olivia wasn't sure about the baby at first...but now she really does try to take care of it so it doesn't cry.

Merry Christmas

Olivia has had a great Christmas this year.  It started last week in Indiana with Brad's family.  Olivia got a lot of neat gifts there.  She loves the new Backyardigans DVD that her Pap gave her. Her Papaw and Betty gave her a new "computer", clothes, suckers, puzzles and lots more.

Olivia enjoyed making making and decorating sugar cookies with Betty and with Nana.

Last night we continued the Christmas celebrations in KC at my parents house.  We all went to dinner and when we got back to my parents house...we found Santa waiting for us.  Olivia wanted nothing to do with Santa.  She is twisting her body in the picture below to get far away from Santa as she is walking towards me.

She was very happy to say good bye to Santa.  After Santa left we opened all the Santa gifts and all the other gifts.

Olivia got two new Backyardigan dolls that talk and sing.

Olivia made a Christmas card at school and gave it to us for Christmas.  She is showing Brad all the other kids in her class.

Olivia also got some new vehicles that the Backyardigans ride in.

She also got a chalkboard easel.  She liked coloring on that.

As we get more pictures I will try to post more.  I camera stopped working in Indiana so I don't have any pictures from there.

Merry Christmas To You!!!

Olivia's Time At Nana and Papa's

Last week Brad and I went to Indiana to visit his grandma who was and still is in the hospital.  Olivia spent those days with her Nana and Papa.  That was only the second time I had been away from her...it was very hard on me...but if you ask my mom I think it was very hard on Olivia too. Olivia also spent a day at school and at her friend, Will's house.  Will and Olivia have a lot of fun together!  Thanks Mom, Dad and Megan for helping with Olivia last week!!!

It's Christmas Time

We are ready.  Our house is decorated and we have attempted to see Santa.  Olivia loves pointing out Christmas trees where ever we are.  Olivia has had another cold/virus this week.  That hasn't been much fun...but I think we are getting over the worst.  Here are a few pictures from out adventure to see Santa.  I think you will be able to tell from the pictures that she wasn't comfortable being there...

Olivia Singing

Okay, here is a video from about two weeks ago. I'm just now getting around to uploading it. She loves singing. The song that she is singing in this video is from a Leap Frog video she likes watching. Thanks to "Tad" and his family in the video Olivia has learned the sounds to the letters of the alphabet.

Our Little Ladybug

Olivia had a great afternoon. We started a little before 3 by going to daddy's work to trick-or-treat.
From work we went to the community center to trick-or-treat
From the community center we headed to downtown Overland Park. It's a nice outdoor shopping area that all open their doors for trick-or-treating. The picture below is of Olivia checking out all the candy she has received so far!!!
From there we went to 3 different friends houses to trick-or-treat. Olivia loves ringing doorbells so she really got into this part.We were home by 5!!! It was great. I think she was so excited to get out of her ladybug outfit and she loves putting on my shoes!
